OUR HISTORY
The Syracuse Corvette Club was formally established in 1968 by a group of guys who like to party! Little
did they know that through the years, the Syracuse Corvette Club would establish itself in the Central New York area as an
organization not only interested in "banding together for the purpose of gaining information, exchanging ideas, and for the
mutual enjoyment of the Corvette sports car", but also involving itself in community projects and charitable organizations.
( Info obtained from 1985 SCC Club newsletter)
The SCC has become one of the most distinguished and recognized Corvette Clubs in the Northeast and was incorporated
on July 2, 1973.
The Club, under the leadership of 24 Presidents, has grown in membership of men and women and expanded its'
horizons to include anything and everything of interest to its' members.
The meetings were held in succession:
- 1968-The Poor House East
- Breese Chevy in Liverpool
- Grape & Grog restaurant
- Gregs Restaurant on Teall Ave.
- 1977- present- BORIO'S Restaurant, Cicero, NY

September 2009 , William H. Meyer Jr., the Chairman of the Onondaga County Legislature, representing
County Executive Joan Mahoney, presented to the Syracuse Corvette Club a Proclaimation in honor
of the Club's 40th anniversary.
We are one of the sponsors and the host of the largest 1 day Corvette show in the Northeast, Vettes at the Beach, held the last Sunday of July each year in Sylvan Beach, NY. Thousands of dollars have been generated from this show
and given to local charities.
We also have the honor of hosting another up and growing show, Vettes
at Towne Center in Fayetteville, NY. Jeff Aiello, part of COR Companies, developed a picturesque
corner in one of the busiest areas of Fayetteville, NY with the idea of hosting a Corvette Show. We will be hosting
the annual show again this year in July and all monies generated from the show go to the Make A Wish Foundation, CNY Chapter.
The SCC is involved in many activities such as wine tours, road rallies, family picnics, dinner
cruises, travel excursions, low speed events, drag racing at ESTA, a club picnic and a Christmas party, just to
name a few.
