FLY-IN BREAKFAST A HUGE SUCCESS!

Hold breakfast...I'm coming!

The Shriners benefit from the SCC members who love to cruise in their cars!

Once again it was a time to be proud of being a member of the Syracuse Corvette Club and being associated with such a fine organization! The members did their Club proud with the turn out on a VERY foggy day! There were 19 Corvettes from the club, 20 Vettes at the field and 6 daily drivers with SCC members and friends. There were 46 SCC members.Thank you is all Paul & Patty Altenburg (Chairpersons) could say! They were at loss for words for the support that the SCC showed them! The Altenburgs were waiting at the Great Northern Mall with several other Corvettes,  as the group from the Cicero area drove up through the fog and they said the sight as each Corvette pulled in to view through the mist was a beautiful picture! One by one they appeared and it was like out of a movie!

All the money raised from the breakfast that day was donated to the Shriners Hospitals. A very deserving organization!

Official report from the Chairman of the event, Paul Altenburg.

This breakfast was a huge success because of a volunteer group assisting the diners in seat selection, service and clean up! The group was the CAP, The CIVIL AIR PATROL!
They are with the EAA, Charter NY408. They consist of 28 youth cadets, 18 Senior Members and are under the command of Lt. Colonel Fred Bullard.
The Deputy Commander for the Cadets is Lt. Colonel Rick Smith.
These fine young Cadets work the ground while the Sr. Members work in the air during a search and rescue mission.
Learn more about the CIVIL AIR PATROL. A very dedicated and worthwhile program!
